All Autonomic and SnapOne customers purchasing Autonomic products automatically receive a company Dealer Zone account and are encouraged to use it as their primary remote management tool for Autonomic products. The Dealer Zone is available to monitor and manage Autonomic devices without an OvrC Pro device. To continue using OvrC to monitor and manage Autonomic devices an OvrC Pro Hub or other OvrC Pro device on premise will be required.

FAQ’s
How does this impact my customers with existing OvrC-enabled Autonomic devices?
Your customers will not be affected in any way as this change does not affect the device, only the OvrC application.
How will this transition impact the devices that I already installed?
Autonomic devices that are currently installed and claimed in OvrC will transition from an OvrC-enabled device to a discovered device. You can tell by the icon next to the device name. Currently, the Autonomic devices have the “Autonomic” icon to the left of the device name and that will change to “Pro” once the transition is complete.
Aside from the logo change, device configuration settings like IP address, firmware updates and reboots should be done using the Autonomic Dealer Zone.
What will I be able to do with Autonomic devices in OvrC?
Autonomic devices will perform like every other third-party device in OvrC. Monitoring the network connection status, receiving proactive notifications when there is a change, and WebConnect to the local UI of the device where there is an OvrC Pro agent installed.
How will this impact new devices that are being installed?
New devices to be installed, there is no need to claim them in OvrC as this function will no longer work. Only locations that have an OvrC Pro Agent installed will be able to discover the device on the network.
What is the experience if there is not an OvrC Pro Agent installed in the location?
In locations where an Autonomic device is installed and there is not an OvrC Pro Agent, the customer, location, and device will not be affected other than the Autonomic device(s) will show as disconnected and the device type will be a discovered device even though there is not an OvrC Pro Agent to perform the scans. This was done to preserve any device notes that may be attached to the device(s).
Any remote interactions with the device including the device status, reboots and firmware updates should be done through the Autonomic Dealer Zone.
