3. Installation Guidelines
Physical Placement:
Place the unit in a well-ventilated area with ambient temperatures below 104°F (40°C). Avoid direct exposure to sunlight or placing it on top of other heat-generating equipment.
Maintain Humidity below 90% RH.
If rack mounting, use the included rack mount ears and screws. Ensure the unit is secured.
Ventilation:
The M3 and M5 Pro are not ventilated and emit low amounts of heat from the chassis (136 BTU/hr max). The internal heatsinks have been over-spec’d for the most demanding environments. Units can be rack mounted with no additional space between other Autonomic Music Servers or other low-heat-generating equipment.
4. Physical Connections
Step 1: Connect Power
Use a grounded outlet for safety.
The internal power supply can accept AC voltage between 100v-240v and 50hz-60hz for international use.
Max power consumption is 40W
Step 2: Network Connection
Connect an Ethernet cable from your network switch or router to the Ethernet port on the back of the unit.
For eAudioCast use, ensure IGMP Snooping and Multicast Filtering are turned off on the network equipment.
If other Dante or AES67 devices are on the network, PTP may need to be disabled on the Music Server. Please see this article for more details.
Step 3: Audio Output Connections
