Getting Started with your Stand Alone eSeries System

Goal:

You’ve reached this page because you have a new eSeries server, a new eSeries amp and would like to configure your initial setup.

Once your amp(s) are ready, please power on your devices with the supplied powersupply and connect these devices to your LAN, non-POE port if possible.

To quickly find your MMS eSeries server please go to http://setup.tunebridge.com

You can also use other IP scanners like but not limited to Angry IP https://angryip.org/ and the such, I would recommend sorting by ‘MAC’.

If you need to find the MAC on your device, please locate the sticker on the physical device, it should state the MAC and Serial number.

You can also reference your Arp table,

in windows → start-> cmd → arp -a

in mac → cmd+space → term → arp -a

Please click on ‘config’

Please navigate to the ‘System’ Tab

By default, your MMS eSeries server and eSeries amp will be on ‘System ID 1' also known as ‘Stack ID’

You’ll notice my eSeries system is set to 241

You may ask ‘why’

In some environments, there may be several MMS devices within the network so separating each individual system is necessary.

Once the devices are on the same ‘System ID’ they will see and communicate with each other, adding additional devices will grow your system.

Under the same ‘System ID’, these devices(MMS') will now share Online Credentials and local content.

Please take a look at our Office System.

System ID -70

Airplay Enabled

1x MMS-5E

1x m-801e

1x m-401e

5 eStreams (done with eAudio) with a total of 12 possible zones

In either setup we are utilizing eAudio -Our innovative, proprietary eAudioCast technology enables audio-over-Ethernet to compatible eSeries devices.

Meaning no need to have physical outputs in this Stand Alone System, audio will be provided over your ethernet.

My MMS-1E once paired with my m-120e provides 2 Streams.

  1. Player A

  2. Player B

Our office MMS-5E provides 5 Streams paired with our eSeries amps.

ie

  1. Main

  2. Player A

  3. Player B

  4. Player C

  5. Player D

To reach the Server Details window navigate to the Pencil/Gear icon, select it and for example, from here you can change your output names, by default you should see Player A-D.

If you were to navigate down to ‘Amplifiers’

Select the Pencil/Gear Icon

This will bring you to the ‘Amp Details’ page where you can change the Zone Names and for example under ‘Source Name’ you will find I added ‘mac mini’ as an external source that I can ‘toggle’ to either in the Tunebridge App or through the WebUi (serverIP/Mirage)

To note:

Zone/Source names can also be modified through the ampIP/config page

To do this navigate and select ‘configure’ under the ‘Amp Details' view

What are distributed sources and what are independent sources?

The system can be "distributed", i.e. it need not all be installed in one place. The amplifiers can be installed in different locations near to audio source equipment or speakers installed in those areas and all amplifiers are nevertheless able to access the audio sources from all locations over the wired network.

When the amplifiers are installed in different locations then any sources that are connected to them will most likely not be connected to any other amplifiers and so those sources are thus independent of the other amplifiers. However if several amplifiers are installed as a traditional amplifier stack with the same sources connected to each, then the sources on these amplifiers are not independent from each other because they are the same sources.

Once the initial configuration is completed please test for audio.

You can navigate to the serverIP/Mirage page in your web browser, select Tunein Radio as it will not require a login and navigate to a station for audio.

You can always add client/personal streaming accounts to
