Crestron Home eSeries Amplifier Configuration

  • The eSeries Amplifier Driver for Crestron Home is Developed in conjunction with Control Programming LLC. More Details can be found here.

The driver can be found in the Crestron Home Setup App under: Device Types > Drivers > AV Switcher > Autonomic > eSeries

Integration Notes

  • A single instance of the Driver will control multiple eSeries amplifiers.

  • The driver only needs to be pointed to one amplifier in the system.

  • The driver can support up to forty (40) audio zones across any combination of eSeries Amplifiers (M120e, M401e, M801e).

  • The driver can support up to thirty-two (32) audio inputs into the amplifier system. This is the sum of all MMS streams and physical inputs into the amplifiers.

Basic Configuration Steps

  • Fully configure the sources and zones in the Amplifier Config WebUI (IP of AMP/config) prior to configuring the Crestron Home driver.

  • The Remote Source Input # and Zone # as defined in the Amplifier Config WebUI will determine the Source Routes in Crestron Home (see detailed configuration below).

Detailed Configuration

Amplifier Configuration

  • Navigate to the Config WebUI of one of the amplifiers in the system (IP of AMP/config)

  • Set all Amplifiers to the same System ID (default 1)

Amplifier Zone Configuration

  • For ease of configuration, name all Amplifier Zone Outputs and note the Zone # (Zone Tab of Config Page)

  • In the below example, “Anders Office” would be configured as “Room Audio 10” in the Source Routes of Crestron Home

Amplifier Source Configuation

  • On the Source Tab of the Amplifier Config WebUI, set all amplifiers to “Distributed Amplifiers”

  • For ease of configuration, name each Physical Input by pressing the blue “Config” button under the appropriate amplifier

  • Drag sources from “Available Sources” to “Assigned Sources” and note the “eAudioCast Source #” for each input

Crestron Home Driver Configuration

  • Add the “Autonomic eSeries” Driver to any room (tech closet)

  • Add the Amplifier IP address to the driver, under the control tab

    • The port can be left to the default, 17037

  • All other settings can be left to default

Crestron Home Source Routing Configuration

  • In the Source Routes tab of the Crestron Home Configuration App, navigate to the eSeries Amplifier Driver

  • Enter the Inputs and Outputs as defined in the Amplifier Configuration done previously.

Example Configuration

Below See an Example Configuration. The Source Definitions are shown in (Figure 2) and the Zone Definitions are shown in (Figure 3). The Source Routes in Crestron Home are shown in (Figure 4).

Additional Notes

  • MMS Streams will be defined as an “eAudio Cast Source” the first time they are streamed to the amplifier, they will be automatically assigned to the next available source number.

    • They cannot be dynamically changed, but you can delete the MMS Source from the Amplifier Config WebUI, and it will be automatically readded to the Source List and given a Source Number the next time it is played.

  • “USB GenericAudio is the Main player on the MMS. This can be the HDMI Output or USB Dac Output.
