Connection timeout parameter for Streaming Services

Displays or sets the timeout value for streaming services.  It may be necessary in high latency and/or low bandwidth scenarios to increase the default timeout parameter used by MMS for streaming music services.  This setting will affect any track-based service (e.g. Pandora, Rhapsody, Spotify, Deezer, Murphie, TIDAL).  It will not affect stream-based service (e.g. SiriusXM, TuneIn)

Commands are to be sent over Telnet on port 23

Syntax

SetServiceRequestTimeout [integer arg1]

Optional. 

If expression is:

  • <BLANK> - Returns current setting

  • <0> - uses default (2000 milliseconds)

  • <#> - timeout in milliseconds

Example

SetServiceRequestTimeout 3000

Sets the timeout value to 3 seconds
